Brazil is Beefing Up their Meat Industry

New Research Center seeks to innovate Livestock Technology

Brazil is Beefing Up their Meat Industry

We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: The future is developing all around us, and Brazil refuses to be left behind.

The federative republic of Brazil has planted its feet at the very forefront of the developing fourth industrial revolution, from researching digital initiatives to innovate their manufacturing sector to their recent Blockchain Development collaboration with other emerging economies.

As if that wasn’t enough, the South American country has set their sights on revolutionizing the livestock industry, and in line with their focus on international cooperation, they’re doing it with a little help from a certain German Conglomerate.

Siemens is setting up The São Paulo-based Meat Competence Center, a facility dedicated to the development of innovative technology related to meat production methods such as tracking and automation. Not only will the center be researching ways to improve the quality and efficiency of Brazil’s processes, but they will also be incorporating data from outside studies, hoping to utilize all findings in solutions that can be applied to the global meat industry.

Seeing as Brazil is the largest global exporter of beef, basing the research centers within its borders was a natural choice. That’s right, centers, plural. The main facility is based in São Paulo, but there will also be five separate cells operating across the country.

The Meat Competence Center’s mission may not mean much to vegans, but carnivores around the world will be happy to hear that high-quality cuts of cow will soon be moving around the world and onto their dinner plates more efficiently than ever before. As usual, Export Portal is pleased to see so much work put into optimizing international trade. We share the same passion for spreading quality goods around the world that brazil has, and are even developing our own proprietary blockchain technology that will connect buyers and sellers through every step of the process.

With these highly efficient systems in place, and with plenty of merchandise to move, we finally have an answer to Clara Peller’s classic question of “Where’s the Beef?”
