Cheese is a diary product usually consisting of cow, sheep and goat milk. Different countries produce their own, traditional cheeses and hundreds of types of these product exist worldwide. 

The USA produces Brick cheese, Colby, Blue Marble Jack Cheese, Maytag Blue cheese, Cheddar cheese as well as many other cheeses.

 

 

Germany has about 600 different types of cheese, with 75% of all cheeses being produced in Bavaria. Germany's traditional cheeses are: Allgäuer Emmentaler, Ziegenkäse (goat cheese), Edelpilzkäse (Noble Mold Cheese), Butter Cheese (Butterkäse), Quark Cheese, Tilsiter etc.

 

 

France is the cheese capital of the world and world's largest consumer of cheese. From 350 to 450 varieties of cheese are produced here, the most famous being Camembert, Comte, Roquefort, Bleu de Gex, Cantal, Brie, Munster etc.

 

 

Italy produces around 450 types of cheese, the most known being Parmigiano-Reggiano - the King of Cheeses, Mascarpone, Pecorino, Gorgonzola, Taleggio, Mozzarella, Provolone, Asiago etc.
